In Je suis une montagne (I’m a mountain), the stage is physically inhabited by heat, rain, wind, deep rumbles, and the scents of plains and deserts. Rain falls, light pierces through the clouds to create dawns, halos, and radiant suns; it envelops bodies with its strength before withdrawing to make way for the night.
Je suis une montagne invites us to feel the world differently, through the flows of matter, energy, and time that shape it, shape us, and shape the universe around us.
This opens up a new relationship with the world — one that is broader, reshaping how we relate to the elements, to space, to time, and to ourselves. By inviting a form of letting go and communion, and through a writing of the body — both of the elements and of the spectator — Je suis une montagne offers an experience of the present.
